Create a brochure, pamphlet, or newsletter (it can be created in Word or a similar software) for all of the members of the healthcare team in your unit regarding how to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
The project should include the criteria listed below.
- List each department that interprets and implements the regulations set forth by regulatory agencies, and include a description of each.
- Identify a set of emergency codes for the healthcare unit. Describe the policies and procedures of each type of code (e.g., cardiac arrest, fire, weather)
- Discuss different types of isolation.
- Identify and explain infection control measures.
Use information from your textbook as well as outside sources, and include at least one source from the CSU Online Library. Try using keyword pairs with quotation marks when searching within the CSU Online Library databases. For example, “hospital regulation” or “infection control” will return better results than a search without the quotes.
Your brochure, pamphlet, or newsletter should be at least two pages in length (front and back in the case of a brochure or pamphlet). Be as creative as possible by using different colors, fonts, or even graphics. Please be sure to properly cite and reference all direct quotes and paraphrased sources, including your textbook, to avoid plagiarism.
